Developing an End Point Curriculum in the Foundation Subjects.

Key Stage 1 and Key stage 2

All schools are expected to review their curriculum to give the Foundation Subjects a greater place. The new Ofsted Inspections will focus on the Foundation Subjects when they judge the quality of education.
Our team at Excellence in Education has developed curriculum guidelines for each of the foundation subjects to set the end points for teaching and learning. As schools recover from lockdown the guidelines will help them to develop an effective post COVID-19 catch-up strategy. The guidelines will save schools weeks of work on curriculum review and development.

The End Point Curriculum

• The guidelines set out the End Points for teaching and learning in each subject

• There are guidelines for each foundation subject- history, geography, art, computing, music, PE and D&T

• The guidelines for each subject meet the requirements of the National Curriculum

• The End Point Curriculum links subjects and connects learning

• There’s a set of subject guidelines for both KS1 (Y1&Y2) and KS2

• There are examples of units of study for each of the foundation subjects

• The End Point curriculum makes planning consistent in all subjects and across both key stages

 

The End Point Curriculum Resource Pack Contains:

• For each key stage there is a USB containing the full set of subject guidelines.

• The documents are in Word format so that schools can change, modify, adapt them

• There is a Power Point presentation for schools to use as INSET
